Equity and Sustainability in the Fox Valley

This session will discuss regional data linking equity issues and sustainability while looking at specific programs and strategies for advancing equity and sustainability simultaneously. The session will feature:

• Regional data and findings from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP)

• Elevate Energy programs that address flood mitigation and energy efficiency in response to the economic burden placed on low-to-moderate income residents and people of color as a result of the climate crisis

• Local municipal initiatives that address financial burdens resulting from the climate crisis
